Yesterday, two low budget films released at the box office. One is Irrfan Khan and Parvathy starrer Qarib Qarib Singlle and the other is Rajkummaar Rao starrer Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana. The films received mixed reviews from the critics and hence the first day becomes very crucial to decide the total lifetime business. Qarib Qarib Singlle First Day Collection Shows Poor Opening

Irrfan Khan and Parvathy starrer movie Qarib Qarib Singlle created a lot of buzz before its release because of its trailer. The movie released at the time when the holdover releases were doing well and the new release also belongs to the same genre. It faced a stiff competition on its opening day and earns a low collection.

Qarib Qarib Singlle First Day Collection stands at Rs. 1.75 crores which is a low earning and it is even lower than Irrfan Khan’s previous two films namely Hindi Medium and Talwar, which collected Rs. 2.50 crores. But the film still has a chance to show growth on Saturday and Sunday to register a decent first weekend collection. Now, the only factor responsible to raise its collection is positive word of mouth, which is expected to benefit the film.

Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana First Day Collection

Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana started its box office journey with a very low collection. Keeping in mind the other holdover and new releases performance, it is not likely to show major growth on Saturday and Sunday. Rajkummar Rao‘s last release Newton also started its box office journey with a low collection but managed to register 200% growth on Saturday and ended the first weekend with a decent collection. But that was because of the film’s Oscar buzz which the makers spread at the right time.

The first day Collection of the film is Rs. 0.70 crores, which is not a good start for the film. Qarib Qarib Single also belongs to the similar genre so the audience has an option to make a choice between the two films.
