After winning accolades for her robust performance in Amitabh Bachchan starrer ‘Pink’, Taapsee Pannu is back to awestruck in her next film, ‘Running Shaddi.com’.
The first trailer that has released recently gave a glimpse of this romantic-comedy that has an out-of-the-box story line. Produced by Shoojit Sircar and Crouching Tiger Motion Pictures, it is the directorial debut of Amit Roy who previously choreographed for Ram Gopal Verma’s Sarkar, Rann, Sarkar Raj and other movies.
With a small town backdrop, the film revolves around three characters – a shy Bihari boy Bharose (Amit Sadh), the bold and outspoken Nimmi (Taapsee Pannu) and the quirky Cyberjeet (Arsh Bajwa), who start a website that helps lovers elope and marry.
The first look of the film reminds us of the 2010 hit ‘Band Baaja Baarat‘ starring Ranveer Singh and Anushka Sharma. However, Running Shaddi.com goes a bit beyond the 2010 matchmaking and wedding planner themed flick. Set to release on February 3, 2017, this movie seems to be a laugh riot.
