Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana Movie Review By All Leading Critics

Rajkummar Rao and Kriti Kharbanda starrer Shaddi Mein Zaroor Aana released yesterday at the box office. It is in competition with the film Qarib Qarib Singlle, which belongs to the same genre. So, both the films are in competition with each other at the box office. Let’s have a look at the reviews it received from all the leading critics of the bollywood.

Movie Review

According to Hindustan Times, “the film’s narrative is good but the songs are not that impressive. All the characters have played their roles in an efficient manner. The film is based on a love story but it also highlights the prevalent dowry system in the society. The film leans too much on cliches and the filmmakers have relied too much on melodrama. Despite the minor hiccups, it is a good film to watch.”

According to NDTV,“this is not a well-directed film. The director has tried to show everything in one go. The lead actors are not properly utilised in the film and are dominated by the supporting actors. Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana is a massive, uncontrollable cinematic blob that runs its tiresome two-and-a-half-hour course without ever getting its perspectives in order.”

According to Indian Express,”the plot looks straight out of the 80s, with its implausible ‘revenge’ theme, the characters who look ‘seedha’ but are totally ‘ulta’, and a leading lady who is presented as a modern, thinking girl, but is given very little agency or a mind of her. The film is very confusing and the background music is very loud. The elements presented in the film do not conform to today’s modern world.

According to Times Of India, “the film could have been made better than it eventually turns out to be. The plot of the film is implausible and riddled with misunderstandings but the performance of the lead actors keep us engaging in the film. But if you don’t mind watching a modest family drama, reminiscent of the 90s, you won’t mind being privy to this emotional alliance.”

According to BOTY, “the film has some cliches but the performance of the actors covers that. It is filled with melodrama and confusion. The film could have been directed more efficiently. If you are looking for a romantic family drama, then you think about it.”
