She has signed for the movie titled as ‘The Big Sick’. It is based on a real-life story of Kumail Nanjiani who is from Silicon Valley and he is also a cast of the movie. The movie depicts how this man and his wife had to struggle and face racism in America.
In this movie, the actress Shenaz Treasurywala plays the role of a Pakistani girl and she is the daughter of Anupam Kher. The movie revolves around how this Pakistani family lived in America and tried to incorporate their value and cultures but still had to face intolerance and racism. Racism still exists in America, in fact, this is very prominent in several areas till date.
Shenaz is currently doing a lead part on the popular Netflix show ‘Brown Nation’. Anyways, the ‘The Big Sick ’ is set to hit the screens this coming July 14th which also stars Holly Hunter, Ray Ramano and Zoe Kazan.
