After so many biopics in Hindi cinema, the filmmakers have finally decided to start working on Rakesh Sharma’s biography. There is a buzz in Bollywood regarding this film since last year. Many actors were assumed for the same. Reportedly, SRK will be portraying the main character. The name of this film will be Salute. It will be directed by Mahesh Mathai.
Rakesh Sharma was the first Indian citizen to travel in space in the year 1984. The astronaut got many awards for his extraordinary achievements. He has an inspirational life. Keeping this in mind, the filmmakers have come up with their new project Salute. Since few years, Bollywood has released several biographical films which have performed well at the box office.
For the lead role, Aamir Khan was the first choice of the makers. He was supposed to start this project after wrapping up Thugs Of Hindostan. With him, Priyanka Chopra was about to be paired. This would be the first time when Chopra & Khan were about to share the screen together. But later, Aamir moved out of this surprisingly. According to some sources, he wants to focus on his another project which is the adaptation of Mahabharata.
Recently, makers have revealed that they have approached Shah Rukh Khan & he agreed. This will be the first time when King Khan will work on any biographical film. Reportedly, SRK will soon start working on this project after wrapping up his ongoing project, Zero. We are hoping that soon other information regarding Salute will be updated.
