Welcome to New York Movie Review: A Meaningless Comedy Film

Welcome to New York arrived at the box office this Friday. The comedy film faces Sonu Ki Titu Ki Sweety as both the films belong to a similar genre. Let’s discuss the positive and negative elements of the film.

What I didn’t like

• Poor Jokes: Although the film belongs to a comedy genre, there is nothing in the movie which makes you laugh effortlessly. It is filled with mindless comedy and lacks an element of humour in its jokes.
• Script and Screenplay: The screenplay of WTNY is very poor and does not look interesting to watch. Also, the meaningless storyline spoils the mood of the audience and left them frustrated. The poor script is the biggest hurdle in the path of its success. Also, it is full of non-serious content, which fails to entertain the moviegoers.
• Presentation: Not only the storyline but also the presentation of the film is cheap. It is very difficult to predict what the makers are trying to convey in the movie.

What I liked

• Diljit & Sonakshi’s Acting: Although the roles of actors, Diljit Dosanjh and Sonakshi Sinha are short but they have done justice to their parts. Diljit Dosanjh has tried his level best to entertain the audience with his charm and dialogue delivery. Also, Sonakshi Sinha has played her role very well. Both these actors manage to make the audience laugh with their comedy to some extent.

Overall, it is not a good film and leads to no way. Hence, BOTY gives it 1.5/5 rating. Let’s see what other critics are saying about the film.
