This is the Battle of Hate Stories. Part 1 was a sleeper hit of its time with Surveen Chawla in the lead role. It was not a very big success, but it established the film as a brand which helped Surveen Chawla make a comeback with Hate Story 2 which was a Major Success for a low budget film. The success of Hate Story 2 Gave the directors and produce more confidence in the concept which resulted in a Hate Story 3 which was made on a Budget of Rs. 20 crores. (Highest of all Hate Stories).
Also the Cast of Hate Story 3 received an upgrade with Zareen Khan, Daisy Shah, Sharman Joshi and Karan Singh Grover in the lead. Overall, this was the most successful Hate Story among all three, and it set a bar for Hate Story 4 to break.
All these films are erotic thrillers, a genre which Indian Audience is accepting rapidly as more people prefer to watch these films in theaters now. This was not the case in the earlier times, when Emraan Hashmi’s Murder released at the Box office.
