SS Rajamouli’s movie Baahubali 2: The Conclusion seems to be caught in a controversy for something unpleasant that happened nine years back. The role of Katappa is being played by actor Sathyaraj, and now the anti-comment he made regarding the Cauvery river water has come back to haunt the release of Baahubali 2.
Tamil Nadu and Karnataka are in a dispute over the sharing of Cauvery waters and nine years back the comments made by Sathyaraj have now gone viral and is posing a problem for the release of movie Baahubali 2 in Karnataka. The protestors are looking for an apology from Sathyaraj and are protesting for a Bengaluru Bandh on the April 28, 2017 which is the day of release for the grand movie.
Director SS Rajamouli said in a statement that the film makers were nowhere related to the remarks that were made. The director also requested to the activists not to hinder the release of the movie.
Rajamouli’s appeal seems to have been in vain as the protestors continue to demand the same thing.
The head of Kannada Okoota , Vatal Nagaraj said they were not against the movie but they would continue to protest unless they received an apology from Sathyaraj.
