Salman Khan’s Tubelight Released this Friday with High Expectations. But the film is heading towards a poor weekend performance at the box office. Most Probably reason being Terrible Reviews. All critics have given a Thumbs down this movie which affected its Friday collections.
Tubelight had an advance booking of Rs. 12.5 crores net which was a neat figure. And there were sales of only Rs. 9 crores net on day 1, which brings the total box office collection to Rs. 21.5 crores net on Day 1.
This Figure is almost Half of Bahubali 2 which collected Rs. 40.75 crores on its first day. Tubelight did lose some money because of Pre-Eid Festivities. But that amounts to around 4 crores. But now that Reviews are in, the Advances and collections are going to be much weaker than they should be.
In any case, the film will collect decent money over the weekend as it has an extended 4 day weekend. And Monday Collections should be great as its Eid Holiday. 90 crore 4 Day weekend is on the cards. But let’s see where the word of mouth takes the film.
