Nawazuddin Siddiqui‘s upcoming film Babumoshai Bandookbaaz‘s trailer released today. The film is already in the air as Nawazuddin Siddiqui is seen in a very different role in this movie. Earlier, the makers released the teaser and the poster of the movie which arouse the curiosity about the movie among the audience.
In the new poster, Nawaz is seen sitting on the bullet bike and eating something. Witnessing the new and different role of the actor in the movie, one can say that the actor is taking risks with his films and experimenting with the type of roles he plays. The teaser introduces him as Showbaaz, Daarubaaz, Bandibaaz, and Bandookbaaz. In this movie, he is playing the role of a contract killer and is very passionate about his job.
Witnessing the overwhelming response to the posters and the mysterious teaser, the makers have released the entertaining trailer of the much-awaited movie. The trailer shows that the life of the contract killer Babu revolves around love, friendship, loyalty, deceit, and revenge. On watching the trailer, one can say that the film is set on the lines of ‘Gangs of Wasseypur‘.
About the film, Nawazuddin says, “Shooting Babumoshai at real locations in Uttar Pradesh was really an interesting experience. The treatment is quite real and entertaining. I like enacting real characters like the one I play in this film and that gives me a high. I’m happy to be part of Babumoshai Bandookbaaz.”
Director Kushan Nandy says, “When I had approached Nawazuddin with the script, he liked it but wasn’t fully convinced with it. Later, we sat together with the writer Ghalib Asad Bhopali and modified the script. Had Nawazuddin said no for the film, I wouldn’t have made Babumoshai Bandookbaaz because he is the only actor who can pull off Babu’s role.”
The film casts Bengali actress Bidita Bag along with Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the lead role. The movie also casts Divya Dutta, Murali Sharma, Jatin Goswami, Shraddha Das, Anil George, Jeetu Shivhare and Bhagwan Tiwari. The film is produced by Kiran Shyam Shroff and Ashmith Kunder and is directed by Kushan Nandy. The film is hitting the theaters on 25 August 2017.
