Hichki and 102 Not Out are completely different types of content films. The former is a women-centric film while the latter focusses on the relationship between a father and a son. Rani Mukherjee’s movie Hichki released with positive reviews from the critics and opened decently at the box office. The film witnessed a growth on the first weekend and crossed Rs. 15 crores mark in just three days. It held well on the weekdays and earned over Rs. 26 crores in the first week in its pocket. Not only this, the film also fared well in its second and third week.
Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor starrer film, 102 Not Out started its journey at the box office on a decent note. It made a good jump over the first weekend and took its total over Rs. 16 crores. The most important thing about the film is that it faced the stiff competition from the Hollywood flick, Avengers Infinity War effectively and held well on the weekdays. 102 Not Out did a little better than Hichki and its first-week collection crossed Rs. 27 crores.
