India has often been seen as a mysterious land to foreigners. But what is more mysterious is our Indian movies. Murder Mystery movies were the foundation of all mystery films in the earlier days of Bollywood. There used to be a very common storyline which depicted the content of almost every film. Here is what a typical mystery, suspense-thriller looked like in the 60s or 70s

• Victim is Murdered
• It looks like an Accident
• But the Protagonist suspects it is not
• He begins his investigations
• He finds things which nobody believes
• In the end, the least suspected person turns out to be the criminal

Well, that’s a Bollywood mystery movie for you in 6 Bullet points. But that is no longer the case anymore. Over the years the Hindi Film Industry has Evolved a Lot. Our current movies can not be summarized in just a few bullet points or even one paragraph. The story nowadays is complex enough to make the mystery more mysterious.

It doesn’t matter whether it’s a murder mystery, kidnapping mystery, horror or even comedy mystery. The List goes on and on.
