In the year 2017, Tumhari Sulu witnessed a great success at the box office of Hindi film industry. After this, the Tamil filmmakers have recently announced that they will remake it in Tollywood. In Bollywood, Vidya Balan was seen portraying the character of Sulu.
Suresh Triveni directorial bagged numerous awards. Vidya, who is very choosy about her roles was also appreciated enormously for her performance. She flawlessly essayed the character of an innocent housewife who later turns into an RJ.
Jyothika may play Sulu
To portray Vidya Balan’s character in the Tamil version of Tumhari Sulu, the makers have recently approached Naachiyaar fame Jyothika. Radha Mohan who last directed this actress in ‘Mozhi’ will be directing her again. Although she has not given any confirmation yet, the makers are expecting a positive sign from her side.
If sources are to be trusted, she will officially announce it after finishing shooting for Mani Ratnam’s upcoming film, Chekka Chivandha Vaanam. Earlier, Jyothika had already played such character as an independent housewife in Tollywood’s 36 Vayadhinile. So, it will be easy for her to skin in the similar character of Sulu.
