Manikarnika is assumed to be one of the most controversial films of the year 2018. It is based on the true story of Jhansi Ki Rani. Kangana Ranaut will be playing the lead role as Rani Laxmibai. On the other hand, TV star Ankita Lokhande will be portraying the character of Jhalkari Bai. Well, this will be her first film & she is so excited for her debut.
Recently, Ankita has expressed her excitement in an interview stating that she is so proud to portray such an effective character onscreen. The actress also added that not many of the citizens of India are aware of Jhalkari Bai. She was the right hand of Rani Laxmi Bai. Her looks were so similar to the Rani that many times she acted as the shield to Laxmi Bai.
According to some reports, Krish directorial Manikarnika is all set to release on 3rd August 2018. It will also feature Sonu Sood, Atul Kulkarni, Jisshu Sengupta in prominent roles. We have seen many glimpses of Kangana from this film, recently Ankita’s look is revealed on Twitter.
