Lootera

This story is set in the year of 1953. Varun Shrivastav, an archaeologist, visits a village in West Bengal to excavate the temple grounds of a zamindar there. He impresses the Zamindar and his family with his knowledge beyond his age capabilities. Zamindar’s daughter Pakhi, is irrevocably drawn to him. But Varun is not who is seems to be. At one point in time, he is made to chose between his love, Pakhi, and his past. Choosing his past, he disappears from there. Pakhi is all broken and is struggling to move on in her life. But one day, he returns. What happens thereafter, forms the rest of the story.
