Shyamsunder is an innocent villager who loves to sing and hence comes to Bombay to try his luck with Bollywood. But he ends up on the street singing for small occasions. One day he meets Divya, the daughter of the owner of Tips Cassettes, Mr. Khurana. They both fall in love with each other and decide to get married. But Divya is unaware of the fact that Shyam loves another woman named Pooja in his village whom he had promised to marry. When she comes to the city in search of Shyam, the problem ensues. In order to save himself, he arranges for a look-alike of him which eventually adds to more problems.
