Kaala is releasing this year on 27th April. Produced by Dhanush, it is a bilingual film, made in Hindi and Tamil. It is also being dubbed in Telugu. Rajnikanth will play a gangster in this movie, which will be the Robin Hood for slum people. The distribution rights for this movie have already been sold to LYCA, who is also producing Rajnikanth’s mega-budget project, 2.0 this year. The producers are finding it difficult to sell their Telugu rights.

The reason for the same is stiff competition faced by the movie. A lot of movies are releasing on 27th April alongside Kaala. And some of them are of popular Telugu actors. Even though Rajnikanth has a huge fan base in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, yet the distributors there are wary of recovering the costs if they purchase the movie on a high budget.

Movies releasing in Competition

27th April is an extended 5 day weekend. It is also the beginning of summer season in many countries. Hence it is the time when people in overseas countries come out in large numbers to watch movies. No wonder, many movies would like to bag this opportunity. Hence, taking advantage of this fact, many movies are being released on April 27th.

Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War, which was scheduled to release on 4th May, is now releasing on 27th April. And as per previous records for Marvel movies, India is one of the major earning sources for their films. Hence not just in English, the movie will be released worldwide in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu languages as well. Recently, Marvel team took to Twitter to disclose their date change in a very interesting way.

Other than this, Kaala will also face competition from Mahesh Babu’s Bharat Ane Nenu and Allu Arjun’s Naa Peru Surya. Mahesh Babu and Allu Arjun are 2 of the most Popular Telugu actors of today. And as soon as these movies would release, there will be a lot of craze among the people. In such a case, Rajnikanth’s Kaala might have to wait longer to gain the attention of all the people out there.

Recently, the news of Rajnikanth starting his own political party has been doing rounds.
