Every moviegoer awaits Friday for new box office releases. This Friday, a new movie Vodka Diaries released in the theaters. It is directed by a debutant director Kushal Srivastava and casts Kay Kay Menon in the lead role. Vodka Diaries is a suspense thriller film based on solving the murder mysteries. An element of suspense, thrill, and romance is embedded in it.
The starting of the film is very good but after some time, the story becomes predictable. The role of a cop, Ashwini Dixit, played by Kay Kay Menon is full of mixed thoughts. It is displayed as a strong individual and on many occasions, it reflected a weak and vulnerable personality. Although he has played his role very well, his talent could have been utilised more appropriately.
In these types of suspense thriller films, the content of the story plays an important role in its success. Unfortunately, the story of Vodka Diaries is not that impressive and fails to indulge the audience in it. Also, it is a predictable one, and hence becomes a torture for the people to watch. Not only the story but also the background music fails to lure the audience.
The talent of the actors is not utilised properly and the dialogue could have been written more passionately. Overall, the debutant director tried his level best to present an intriguing film but somehow failed at some points in its direction.
