According to some sources, Anil Kapoor would not be seen in the movie. He was not at all approached by the makers for the role, and not even for a cameo role. Despite having a great physique and young looks, according to them, Anil Kapoor does not fit in the role of this film.
Nayak was released in 2001. It was one of the mega-blockbusters of Anil Kapoor. Where the previous movie revolved around the political drama, its sequel would be completely different from the original film. Even Anil Kapoor had also stated earlier that Nayak 2 will be totally different from ‘Nayak’.
When Anil Kapoor made all the announcements previously, it was assumed that he himself would be playing the main character in the movie.
