Director Zoya Akhtar announced that her next film will be on the street rappers of Mumbai. The film is primarily titled “Gully Boy”.
Zoya’s previous films Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and “Dil Dhadkane Do” had claimed a lot of praises. A source reported that her next movie is going to be a coming of age film inspired by some real life rappers from Mumbai’s chawls.
Zoya is a great fan of hip hop music and she was very fascinated by these artists from the ghettos. The source also said, “She found some the musicians very versatile and instantly she started researching. She has been roaming around with internet sensations like Rapper Divine and Rapper Naezy”.
The film will go on the floors very soon as the director has completed writing the screenplay. However, the cast for the film is yet to be decided.
