This movie begins from where the last part concluded: Why Katappa killed Bahubali? When Shiva, the son of Bahubali, comes to know of his heritage, he begins seeking answers. This movie majorly proceeds in flashback. It shows the past events which happened in the Mahishmati Kingdom.
