Aditya Chopra’s recent offering Befikre starring Ranveer Singh and Vaani Kapoor was started decently and has been able to earn almost 50% of the investment in the first weekend. It was made on a budget of Rs. 70 crores including promotion, advertisement and everything. The film started creating a buzz ever since the trailer was released in internet, however, the pre-release buzz could not really helped this Ranveer Singh starrer movie to create a spark in the box office while the reviews from critics are also average. But despite all these facts, the movie performed pretty well in the weekend even though according to most of the audiences this is a one-time watch movie.
Now the movie has entered weekdays and started seeing decline in the figure. But as Monday was a partial holiday due to Milad-ul-Nabi, it has been again able to bag some more amounts compare to other weekdays and the Monday collection reached to Rs. 6.60 crores. The figure is not bad at all.
However, Befikre could not do that well in the international market and according to critics the story is not very effective, the main thing to draw more numbers of audiences is actually Ranveer Singh’s strong and entertaining performance.
