Dangal and Sultan are the biggest all time blockbusters our film industry has produced in a long time. Both these movies surpassed the mammoth mark of 300 crores making it look very easy. Both of them had brilliant content, accepted by both critics and public.
So it’s only fair, that we put them up against one another.
Bajrangi Bhaijaan although released on an Eid Holiday only had the benefit of Giant Opening day. Dangal although did not release on a Holiday but had multiple Holidays in the following weeks, giving it a collection boost in the 2nd week. Both movies released on a Friday so no extended weekend benefit for any of them.
Dangal is a Biopic which appeals to all audiences. While Bajrangi Bhaijaan is a pure work of fiction, and also appeals to all audiences. Hence, the comparison between their performances would be absolutely fair.
