Tiger Shroff starrer Munna Michael entered the second week this Friday. The film created a lot of news before its release and made the audience excited about it. But when the film released on the screens, it failed to receive positive reviews from the critics and the audience also responded coldly.
First Week Journey:
Munna Michael is a blend of romance and action. Because of the presence of Tiger Shroff in the lead role, it was expected to open with a good collection on its opening day. However, the story took a different turn and it received the lowest collection among all the earlier films of Tiger Shroff.
The film performed at the same note on the next two days and witnessed low growth. On the week days also, the film failed to lure the audience and the bad word of mouth played its game against the film collections.
The main reason for its poor performance as cited by all the leading critics of Bollywood is that it failed to entertain the multiplexes audience and only single screen audience liked it.
Second Week Journey:
The first week collections and performance of the film predicted its story in the second week. The only way left to improve its collections was to perform exceptionally well on the second weekend but the bad word of mouth and its performance in the first week made it difficult for the film to excel in its second week.
Also, it received stiff competitions from the new releases. Mubarakan and Indu Sarkar presented a big challenge for the film in the second week. Also, good response to Lipstick Under My Burkha declined the film’s collections.

- Thursday – Rs. 0.28 crores (Expected)
So, this movie has turned out to be a loser among all the earlier films of Tiger Shroff and has become the second consecutive failure of Tiger Shroff after A Flying Jatt.
