Finally, there is some hope for the distributors and exhibitors in India. A Film has managed to do some really strong business. And it’s none other than Akshay Kumar‘s Toilet Ek Prem Katha. The film started a little slow on Friday Morning but the Afternoon jump was strong enough to drive the movie to a first day total of Rs 13.1 crores. TEKP’s 2nd Day (Saturday) collection are even better.
Thanks to the positive reviews of the movie the jump on Saturday was excellent. At some places, the movie jumped in the collection by 50% while all India average is around 30-35%.
As per early estimates, the Saturday Collection of Toilet Ek Prem Katha is going to come at Rs. 17.6 crore net. This is an excellent figure which takes the 2 day total of the movie to a grand 30 crore+ amount.
Future of TEPK
The future of this film is strong. Thanks to the positive word of mouth and the upcoming holiday period, it is expected that TEPK is going to do wonders at the box office. Sunday is a Holiday and so is Tuesday, This gives TEPK enough opportunities to do exceptionally well.
Earlier, JHMS and TEPK were supposed to clash at the box office. But thank god it didn’t happen otherwise SRK starrer would have been crushed by Akshay Kumar’s take on Open Defecation.
