The generously promoted, latest Karan Johar Production has had a spate of a start as the movie only had itself to compete with. With no major releases this weekend the film had a high occupancy, roughly 45% and as the night grows younger, the rate is imagined to go up. Dharma production have been busy trying to get full attention of the audience and so far it seems they have succeeded.
Director Shakun Batra’s second directorial has turned a few critc’s heads as well as inspired the emotional drama loving audience. Kapoor and Sons is his second directorial after the movie Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu (2012), although his first movie was not a success, but he was seen as a director with an eye for the story. Shakun has previously assisted in Rock On (2008) and Jaane Tu Yan Jaane Na (2008). Shakun has also co written the script for his latest flick.
Kapoor and sons is a comedy family drama with the cast led by the latest heartthrob Fawad Khan, Sidharth Malhotra, and Alia Bhatt along with Rajat Kapoor and Ratna Pathak. Rishi Kapoor plays yet another lovable character, the seasoned actor was helped by some serious prosthetic make up. The movie has a balance of humor and emotions gelling up well although for some, the second half could come in as a heavy take. The film promises a much gaining outcome on its first weekend while the critics write positive reviews about it. If you are a Family romcom person, its a best fit so far this year for you.
