Thanks to the Oscar Buzz Newton’s Saturday Box Office was amazing. The film witnessed a growth of over 3 times from Friday. The film started slow because of no appeal or promotions. But after getting nominated as India’s official entry to the Oscars, this surely created some buzz for the movie.
Here are the first 2 Days for Newton till now:
- Friday – Rs. 0.96 cr
- Saturday – Rs. 2.52 cr
Total – Rs. 3.48 crores.
This is an awesome start to the film and it can do a lot better in the coming days. Sunday is going to be slightly affected by the India vs Aus match, but considering it’s not a big movie the effect won’t be visible and Sunday would be much higher than Saturday as well.
Bhoomi Update
Sanjay Dutt’s Bhoomi is doing flat business at the box office. The reviews are not helping the movie as well. Here the Bhoomi Collection for first 2 days.
- Friday – Rs. 2.25 crores
- Saturday – Rs. 2.47 crores
As it can be seen that the jump is not big enough, and Newton clearly stole some of the spotlight of this movie. Nevertheless, Sunday is looking quite alright for this film and it should go past the 8 crore mark this weekend.
Haseena Parkar
The 3rd release of this week, Shradhha Kapoor starrer Haseena Parker hasn’t been impressive as well. Accompanied by Slow start and poor growth, this film has no future at the box office.
- Friday – Rs. 1.45 crores
- Saturday – Rs. 1.63 crores
With such small jumps and poor public response, Haseena Parker is a flop and will barely make it to the 10 crores mark at the box office.
