Kapoor & Sons had a Good first week at the Box Office. The film performed very well. Started slow, but picked up immediately. Thanks to the positive word of mouth for this film.
Banking on the star power of young actors like Sidharth Malhotra, Fawad Khan & Alia Bhatt this Fresh Family Drama fared better than expectations at the box office. This is not a small budget film, which one may expect. There is an investment of 40 crores in this film mostly because of the multi star cast, which also includes veterans like Rishi Kapoor.

Weekend – Rs. 26.1 crores
Monday – Rs. 5.10 crores
Tuesday – Rs. 4.75 crores
Wednesday – Rs. 4.5 crores
Thursday – Rs. 4.5 crores
Total – Rs. 44.95 crores
Considering Music/Satellite right sales, this film is now safe and in the profit zone. Any further collections would only add to the pockets of Producers.
In the Second week, the film is already up against Batman vs Superman & Rocky Handsome, and both the movies are doing exceptionally well. So, it will be tough and interesting week to look forward to.
