It has been one week since Baar Baar Dekho’s release and the movie does not seem to have done a great business. There were a lot of expectations from this movie. With the song Kala Chashma maintaining at the top of charts, the expectations were even higher. The movie had big names attached with it, had been in news for a long time. So, at least some decent collections were expected from this.
But the movie could earn a total of only Rs. 29 crores in one week. This is comparable to the revenue earned by Akria, which earned 27 crores and it earned even less than the movie “A flying Jatt”, which earned a total of 36.85 crores in 8 days. With this situation, the movie seems to be going off the cinema halls by the time its third week starts.
The movie Freaky Ali which was also released the same Friday as Bar Bar Dekho, could do a decent business of 13.5 crores in its first week and did not crash amid failed promotional buzz and a not so attractive musical campaign. The earnings are being credited to some good content created by Sohail Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s good acting.
