The Deol Brothers are back on the screen together with their latest movie Poster Boys. They were last seen together in Yamla Pagla Deewana 2 in 2013. With their comeback, they managed to garner a lot of attention towards their movie. The film is directed by Shreyas Talpade, who will also be seen in this movie along with Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol.

In one of the interviews with Indian Express, the trade analyst Girish Johar predicted that the movie would earn around 3 Crores on its first day. Owing to the popularity of Deol’s in Northern India, the movie was expected to open to a good start. But it had a very poor opening of 15% according to the trade analyst. The movie got mixed reviews from the critics.

Sunny Deol delivered a lot number of hits in the 1990s. His film Gadar, which was released in 2001 was a massive hit. The actor later lost his charm. Opening to a dismissal note, Poster Boys witnessed a decent jump in footfalls during its evening shows. It collected Rs. 1.75 Crores at the Box Office on its first day.

Along with Poster Boys, another big ticket movie was released this Friday, Daddy. This film was also met with the same fate as Poster boys, where it opened to a start of 15%. The political crime drama features Arjun Rampal in lead role and is directed by Ashim Ahluwalla. It essays the real life story of Arun Gawli, who became the most feared gangster, yet Robin Hood, of India.

The movie got very mixed reviews from the critics and is struggling to attract the audience to theatres. Poster Boys is performing better than Daddy in several regions of the country, except 2. Daddy is outperforming Poster Boys in Mumbai and Pune regions, where Arun Gawli’s story is mainly centered at. Opening to a slow start, Daddy also picked up in its evening shows. Overall, the first-day box office collection of Daddy stands at Rs. 1.15 Crores.

Both the films faced a very tough competition from the movies released last week and the Hollywood movie, IT, released this week. Only positive word of mouth is expected to help these 2 movies grow their business. Both the movies are expected to show a decent growth in their Saturday business.
