Kapil Sharma starrer Firagi released last Friday with high expectations but failed to perform in an expected manner. The film received poor reviews from the critics and also it failed to take advantage of no competition from other films. Let’s discuss Firangi First Weekend Collection in detail and how it is expected to perform in the coming days.
Firangi First Weekend Collection Remains Low
Talking about the Friday collection, Firangi showed low earning and failed to utilise the wonderful opportunity of less competition. On Saturday, it was expected to register a good growth but this didn’t happen and it showed only limited growth. The film witnessed only 10% growth on Saturday and the story remained the same Sunday because of the poor word of mouth.
This low collection is because of the changed image of Kapil Sharma, who is mainly known for comedy. But he was seen playing a different role in the film. So, this change associated with the personality created a different story at the box office. The song of the film Sahiba Russ Gayiya, which is sung by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan attracted a lot of appreciation from the listeners.
Here is the first weekend collection of the film:
- Friday – Rs. 2.10 crores
- Saturday – Rs. 2.31 crores
- Sunday – Rs. 2.65 crores
Total – Rs. 7.06 crores
It is now imperative for the film to perform well on the weekdays to sustain its survival at the box office. Since there is no big film till the releases of Tiger Zinda Hai, so it has got a little relief due to it.
Tumahri Sulu Shows Growth in the Third Weekend
The benefit of the poor show by Firangi was received by Tumhari Sulu. The film showed growth even on the third weekend and added a good number to its collection.
Here is the box office collection of the film:
First Week – Rs. 19.78 crores
Second Week – Rs. 9.49 crores
Third Weekend –
- Friday – Rs. 0.52 crores
- Saturday – Rs. 1.30 crores
- Sunday – Rs. 1.40 crores
Total – Rs. 32.49 crores
Tera Intezaar Witnesses Low Earning
Sunny Leone and Arbaaz Khan starrer Tera Intezaar attracted a low number of footfalls in the first weekend. The film shows incompetent attitude at the box office.
Here is the box office collection of the film:
- Friday – Rs. 0.50 crores
- Saturday – Rs. 0.60 crores
- Sunday – Rs. 0.70 crores
Total – Rs. 1.80 crores
