This is the first time that 2 of the hottest actors are pairing up on the screen together. This weekend, all eyes will be on the Sidharth Malhotra and Jacqueline Fernandes starrer A Gentleman, which is releasing today. A lot of hopes have been put up on the First Day Box Office Collection of this movie.

If we look at the last few movies, Sidharth Malhotra is not doing too good at the box office. His last release, Baar Baar Dekho, failed to live up to the expectations of people. But it still managed to gather Rs. 6.8 Crores on its opening day. His other movies did really well at the Box Office.
A Gentleman First Day Collection Updates
Considering how many high profile movies are not doing well in this year 2017, many hopes arise from A Gentleman. The movie is expected to perform fairly well, keeping the storyline in mind.
However, since there has been a lot of uproar in the places of Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh, the movie is expected to perform close to nil in these places. This uproar will severely affect the first-day collection and total box office collection for this movie.
As per our predictions, the first day would be between 6.5 to 7.5 Crores.
Update: The movie opened up to a total occupancy of just 10-15%. Despite having a great star cast, it slowed down terribly in the evenings. The movie turned out to be a big disaster than we initially predicted. The final figure of A Gentleman on its first day came much below expectations as the film could not collect even 6 Crores. This was also affected by rioting in Punjab, Haryana, and parts of UP and Jaipur.
It made a total collection of 4.04 Crores on its first day.
