Rani Mukherjee’s Hichki released today at the box office. The film is a low budget film similar to Tumhari Sulu. Rani Mukherjee has made her comeback on the big screen after a long gap. Hichki has received positive reviews from critics and Rani Mukherjee has also gained an appreciation for her performance in the film. Opens Poorly
Hichki opens poorly and only managed to get 10-15% audience in its morning shows. This is a normal trend for this category of films. There are other similar films like Tumhari Sulu and Mom which opened on a low note but did recovery later on. Hichki has received positive reviews and would attract a good amount of footfalls in the evening shows. Here is the first day collection of Tumhari Sulu and Mom at the box office:

1st Day Collection Early Estimates
Hichki has received a slow start but there are high chances for its progress with the passage of time. Last year release, Tumhari Sulu, and Mom performed decently on its opening day. Hichki first day collection is expected to be similar to Tumhari Sulu and Mom.
The film is not expected to face any stiff competition from the holdover release, Raid because of its different subject. Although Hichki has received a little less number of screens than Tumhari Sulu and Mom, it is expected to fall in the same bracket.
Well, it is very important for a film to take a good start and maintain itself on the weekdays. Raid is performing very well and on the next Friday, Baaghi 2 is releasing at the box office. So there will be a strong battle at the box office. More updates about the film will be made available soon.
