‘Mom’ trailer is out and it’s creepy, grim and deliciously suspenseful. The trailer follows the story of Sridevi as Devaki and her young teenage daughter Arya. It is about a mother who has to make tough choices in order to save her daughter some way. However, what has befallen her daughter Arya remains a mystery. Sridevi is making a comeback with this film.Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Akshay Khanna and Adnan Siddiqui leave a strong impact in the title that they are given to do in the trailer. On the whole, the trailer has the right elements of mystery, thriller, and drama to keep the audience on their toes.

There is a foreboding sense of gloom, guilt and a dilemma to choose between two ‘wrong’ things. As the trailer unfolds on screen, we see flashbacks of Sridevi and her family. Sridevi’s relationship with her teenage daughter Arya seems fragile and the actor tries to smoothen it with her little efforts. However, an unfortunate incident separates Sridevi and Arya to the point of no return. Is Arya gone missing? Is she dead ?Nawazuddin Siddiqui is in wonderfully creepy look and has the best lines in the trailer. Nawaz functions in his own shady way and has got some surprising tricks up his sleeves to unravel the mystery. Akshay Khanna plays a most sophisticated but not without any layers. Sridevi brings the right amount of vulnerability and dilemma in her act and leaves you asking for more.

Film producer Boney Kapoor, who is quite hopeful about his forthcoming production ‘Mom’ featuring his wife Sridevi, says the story of the film is very hard hitting. Apart from Hindi, the film will be dubbed and released in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam. The film is written and directed by Ravi Udyawar. The movie hits the theaters on July 7.
