A middle class girl from Tamil Nadu, Nirupama, doing her higher studies in US marries a dance master, Vishwanathan who runs his own dance school. No love exists between them but they lead a normal family life. Once Nirupama finishes her Ph.D., she develops new ambitions and wants to get her marriage annulled. She finds no cause to blame her husband to get a divorce and hires a man to spy on Vishwanathan. What the detective finds out is startling and with this begins the thrilling drama.
