With three new releases on the last Friday, the audience expected to get entertained in a strong way but unfortunately, this weekend repeated the same story like many poor weekends this year. Newton, Bhoomi, and Haseena Parkar released on Friday but failed to do impressive business except for Newton’s growth from Friday.

Bhoomi Update

Sanjay Dutt and Aditi Rao Haydari starrer Bhoomi failed to receive the kind of start it had expected. On the second day also, it remained flat at the box office and on Sunday, the story remains the same. Not much hope is left for the film to do good business during its lifetime and is going to be another flop of this year.

Let’s have a look at the first-weekend collection of Bhoomi

  • Friday – Rs. 2.25 cr
  • Saturday – Rs. 2.47 cr
  • Sunday – Rs. 2.75 cr

Total – Rs. 7.47 crores

Haseena Parkar – First Weekend

Shraddha Kapoor starrer Haseena Parkar repeated the similar underworld based film Daddy and failed to do a good business during its first weekend. The collection of the film is even less than Bhoomi. The film is not expected to perform well in the weekdays and is heading towards a title of a flop.

Here is a box office collection of the film in the first weekend –

  • Friday – Rs. 1.45 crores
  • Saturday – Rs. 1.63 crores
  • Sunday – Rs. 1.75 crores

Total – Rs. 4.83 crores

Newton Update

Rajkummar Rao starrer Newton started its journey with a slow start but thanks to positive reviews and positive word of mouth from the audience, it took a big jump on Saturday and Sunday. It is expected to do good business during its weekdays. Clearly, we can see that Newton come victorious among the three films released this Friday as it has shown a remarkable growth and is expected to perform well on the weekdays.

Box Office collection of Newton is as follows –

  • Friday – Rs. 0.96 cr
  • Saturday – Rs. 2.52 cr
  • Sunday  – Rs. 3.42 cr

Total – Rs. 6.90 crores

Clearly, out of the three films, only Newton managed to prove its mettle at the box office during its first weekend and is only expected to perform well on the weekdays. For more latest updates regarding the three films, keep reading BOTY.
