Noor, one of the much awaited and highly anticipated movies of 2017 has hit the theater on 21st April but unfortunately, could not add too much in the kitty. The movie has opened in more than 900 screens all over India. It has collected Rs. 1.54 crores on Friday; the collection on Saturday was Rs. 1.89 crores while this Sonakshi Sinha featuring movie has witnessed bit growth on Sunday and has minted an amount of Rs. 2.21 crores. So, the collection is not as expected.
The movie is based on the novel Karachi, You’re Killing me from the Pakistani author Saba Imtiaz. The story revolves around a journalist’s life who is based out of Mumbai. The movie reflects the love life of the journalist and the kind of adventures as she navigates her way in Mumbai.
The movie has received average reviews from the viewers and critics while the occupancy in theaters is really very poor. Also Noor is to compete with other two movies released on the same week. Maatr by Raveena Tandon is another movie which also saw very poor occupancy. It seems moviegoers are waiting for that highly anticipated second part of Bahubali.
