It is the 15th day of Padmaavat since its release and still, it has not shown any major decline in its collection. Despite the loss of around 25% market due to protests, the film broken broke many records at the box office. The film has rocked in both domestic and international market. Overseas & Worldwide Collection
Padmaavat not only receives a solid response in India but also does well in the overseas markets. Due to which its worldwide collection crossed Rs. 400 crores mark making it the 8th highest grosser film of all time. The film is doing well in countries namely US, Canada, Singapore and Australia. However, in Gulf countries, it did not manage to attract a good number of audience to its theaters.
Also, the film has pumped up the box office career of its star cast too. It already became the highest grosser of Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor. And now after crossing the lifetime business of Chennai Express, it has become the highest earner of Deepika Padukone. It has also surpassed Salman Khan’s Kick box office collection.
2nd Week Early Estimates
Because of the solo release due to the postponement of Padman, it managed to open with a bang on its first day. Padmaavat ended its first week on a positive note and grossed Rs. 166.50 crores at the box office. Also, it started its second week with a superb growth and has crossed Rs. 60 crores in the first 6 days. The reason for its good collection is that it did not show any fall on its weekdays. Padmavat 2nd week collection would be around Rs. 235 crores. This is when it did not get proper release due to protest by Karni Sena.
Now, Akshay Kumar starrer Padman is releasing on the coming Friday so Padmavat would face competition from it. But seeing the stronghold of Padmaavat, it is most likely to hold well in its third week too. More updates will be made available soon.
