Race 3 has completed its first week run and earned around Rs. 145 crores at the box office. The action film was expected to collect even more money in the theatres but it fell badly on the weekdays. It is the fall of the film on the weekdays due to the poor public feedback which put a break on its speed of earning. Race 3 2nd Friday (8th day) collection would decide the future of the film in the second week. It has to hold well today so as to bag an excellent amount over the second weekend.

Expectations From the Film in the Second Weekend

After a strong earning in the first four days, Race 3 was expected to maintain its stronghold because of its solo release. However, neither the brand value of Race franchise nor the stardom of Salman Khan managed to save the film from experiencing the brunt of poor public response. Hence, it declined badly on the weekdays in the following manner:

  • Mon – Tue = 32%
  • Tue – Wed = 16%
  • Wed – Thurs = 22%

As we can see the above percentage of fall of Race 3 on the weekdays, we can easily say that the content of the film plays an important role in making it a hit. Despite taking the highest opening at the box office, it could not manage to attract the audience to its theatres in large numbers. Currently, it stands that 12th spot in terms of the highest first week earning of all time.

2nd Friday Collection Early Estimates

Race 3 2nd Friday (8th day) Box office is expected to witness a decent drop today as it has already declined significantly. Today, it would witness a decline of 10-15% from Thursday and would earn around Rs. 5.50 crores. It is crucial for the film to earn a good amount of money in the theatres to hold well in the second week. Next week, Sanju is releasing so Race 3 has got one week to collect as much as money as is possible for the film. More updates about the film will be made available soon.
