Race 3 is performing strongly in the domestic as well as the overseas theatres. The film took the highest opening among all the Hindi releases of the first quarter of 2018. Also, it turned out to be another big Eid release of Salman Khan. In the first two days at the box office, Race 3 crossed the mark of Rs. 65 crores and affected the run of the holdover releases drastically. Salman Khan Films Which Gross Over 100 Crores On Eid
Salman Khan’s action film, Race 3 is on the verge of joining the list of movies of the actor which grossed over Rs. 100 crores. It is really a big achievement for any movie to earn such a great amount in the first three days at the box office. There are many films of Salman Khan which fall in this category. Here is the list of Eid releases with their collections:
- Bajrangi Bhaijaan – Rs. 102.60 crores
- Sultan – Rs. 105.53 crores
Apart from the above two movies, Tiger Zinda Hai also earned over Rs. 100 crores but it was not released on Eid. Race 3 has also shown its dominance in the overseas and collected an excellent amount. In the Gulf, it surprised everyone with around Rs. 12 crores earning.
3rd Day Collection Early Estimates
Race 3 is likely to witness over 20% growth from Saturday and would easily take its total over Rs. 100 crores. It has already crossed the lifetime business of Race and would also surpass the total domestic collection of Race 2 on Sunday. Race 3 3rd day collection is expected to come around Rs. 45 crores. Since it has received mixed reviews from some of the critics so the word of mouth of the audience would matter majorly in this case. Update: Race 3 held well on its third day and it earned Rs. 39.16 crores in its pocket. Since Saturday was a holiday due to Eid and Sunday was a normal holiday so it did not witness a high jump from Saturday. Still, it is a very good collection and the film becomes another Eid release of Salman Khan to earn over Rs. 100 crores in its first weekend. The total of the film after 3 days stands at Rs. 106.47 crores.
