Shah Rukh Khan starrer Raees opened well on 25th January and continues to perform extremely well in the box office. Despite the competition from Hrithik Roshan starrer Kaabil the movie has managed to enter already 100 crores club in its 6th days taking the total box office collection to Rs. 183.28 crores on its 8th days worldwide while the domestic collection reached to Rs. 115 crores net.
So, this is the seventh movie of the actor to enter 100 crores club. This crime action thriller is being loved by the audiences greatly and the box office figure is the indication of that. Shah Rukh Khan played the role of a gangster in Raees and is successfully winning the hearts of audiences across the world.
The movie went through various controversies with time for casting Pakistani actress Mahira khan while the VHP and Shiv Sena unit of Gujarat too showed their protest outside various theaters for highlighting Abdul Latif as a hero in the movie. But despite all these, the movie is running successfully now receiving good reviews from the critics while the positive word of mouth from audiences and the extensive promotion of Shah Rukh Khan too are other reasons for such great outcome.
