The one of a kind director Ram Gopal Varma (RGV) is in the headlines again with his next project ‘Rai’. The film is set on the life of the underworld don and entrepreneur Muthappa Rai. RGV confirmed that the lead role will be played by Vivek Oberoi.
RGV claimed that the stories of deadly gangsters like Pablo Escobar, Dawood Ibrahim, and Al Capone were nothing to compare with ‘Rai’. The 58-year-old director referred the movie as his “Greatest Gangster” film. The director will be launching the poster of the movie on his birthday on May 1.
The film will be produced by CR Manohar. The shooting of the movie will take place in Mangalore, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Dubai and London. ‘Rai’ will be made in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada.
The actor & director duo previously worked together in “Company”, “Road”, “Darna Mana Hai”, “Rakht Charitra-1” and “Rakht Charitra-2”.
