After Padmaavat, Ranveer Singh has started prepping for a South remake, Simmba. There has been a lot of buzz regarding the actress of this film. Finally, the filmmakers have decided to sign the winking girl, Priya Varrier to play the female lead.
Simmba will mark Ranveer Singh’s first collaboration with Rohit Shetty. It’s an action flick in which Ranveer will portray the role of a cop. Basically, it is the official remake of a South Indian Telugu film, Temper. According to some sources, Ranveer Singh has already started prepping for this action film, but the actor has confessed that after Simmba, he will not work on any other South Indian remakes. Most probably, he doesn’t want to work on similar projects as he is a versatile actor. Currently, he is shooting for Gully Boy as well.
Priya’s 1st Bollywood film
Priya Varrier is that internet sensation who has gained enormous popularity after her impressive performance in a Malayalam song. After her very first song, she has driven everybody crazy. The 18-year-old was the most searched girl on the internet after the launch of her song. She is now known as the winking girl who has already made space in everybody’s heart.
Simmba will be Varrier’s first Bollywood project. Although her role in this film is not much, she is very excited to work with her favorite actor Ranveer Singh. Earlier, Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan & Jahnvi Kapoor were the options for the role. But after watching Priya’s viral video, the filmmakers decided to approach her & give her a break in Bollywood as well. This film will hit the theatres on 28 December 2018.
