Gippy Grewal’s war film Subedar Joginder Singh released yesterday at the box office. The film received positive reviews from the critics and also created a lot of buzz because of its songs and trailer before its release. Like the previous Punjabi film, Sajjan Singh Rangroot, it opened decently and collected a similar amount. Here is a complete analysis of Subedar Joginder Singh first day collection.

At Par With Sajjan Singh Rangroot

Two weeks ago, a war film of Diljeet Dosanjh released at the box office and didn’t receive a strong response from the audience. It proved that the Punjabi war films do not enjoy the similar response to the Punjabi comedy films. Now, the performance of Subedar Joginder Singh shows that the concept of war films in the Punjabi cinema needs a patronage from the audience.

Gippy Grewal’s last film Manje Bistre received an excellent response from the audience. He is popular for doing action and comedy movies in the Pollywood. Also, Gippy is slowly setting his feet into the Bollywood industry and this is the second attempt of the actor after Lucknow Central.

First Day Collection Remains Decent

Subedar Joginder Singh first day collection is at par with Diljit Dosanjh’s Sajjan Singh Rangroot. The presence of many famous stars favors the film. Also, an excellent combination of comedy, emotional, and romantic elements helps the movie to earn a decent money. It has collected Rs. 1.40 crores on its opening day and has a good chance of growth on its first Saturday and Sunday. However, some cinemas are yet to declare their earning. More updates about the film would be made available soon.
