Competiton from Holdover Releases
The movie, Veere Di Wedding would have to face a stiff competition from the holdover releases. It has got a good start in the theatres and is likely to get a good response from the metro areas. Veere Di Wedding is not just a female-centric film, but it is based on the theme of friendship as well as other issues of the youth’s life. The other Hindi release, Bhavesh Joshi Superhero is not going to affect the performance of Veere Di Wedding. Parmanu completed its first week with a good total and it is imperative for the film to hold well on its second Friday to earn an excellent amount of money in the second week. The film would earn over Rs. 2.50 crores on its 8th day and would take its total near Rs. 38 crores.
Raazi did exceptionally well in its week 3 and grossed over Rs. 18 crores. Now, with the presence of new films at the box office, Raazi has to show strong character in the next few days to survive the competition from other releases.
Update: Parmanu earned Rs. 2.05 crores on its 8th day and showed a drop due to stiff competition from Veere Di Wedding. Raazi collected over Rs. 1 crore and held well despite the low number of screens.
Bhavesh Joshi Superhero First Day Collection
Bhavesh Joshi Superhero is not promoted well before its release and relies only on its content. However, earlier films from the makers were huge flops and hence there are not many chances for this film to hold well on its opening day. More updates about the film would be made available soon.
