India is the first country to release The Return Xander Cage starring Vin Diesel and Deepika Padukone. The film has a very weird Saturday release. The logic behind this is not known yet. However, the movie was released on paid previews at 6 PM on Friday and the response was very good.
The Collections from Paid Previews reached Rs. 1.8 crores by the night. This is a fantastic start and the film is looking to show a much bigger jump on Saturday. If it can collect 1.8 crores only on Friday night, the entire day collections could have been 3 times of it. And that would have meant exceeding OK Jaanu in its opening collection.
The reviews for xXx are somewhat positive and the film is expected to do well with the Indian Audience. Vin Diesel is also popular with Indian Multiplex going audience. Thanks to the 100 crore+ collection by Furious 7 in India.
Its unfortunate that the movie has only 12 fair days to perform in India. But, its no big deal as 80% of the collections come in those initial days only. And the movie is looking to have a bumper international release on 20th Jan.
