After the huge success of Jalsa (2008) and Atharintiki Daaredi (2013), the actor Pawan Kalyan and director Trivikram Srinivas have come up with their third collaboration, Agnyaathavaasi. The movie is expected to hit a hattrick for the actor-director duo.

Biggest Opening, beating Baahubali and Dangal

Agnyaathavaasi became the 2nd highest Indian Movie, after Baahubali 2, to get the biggest USA release. It received the screen count of 140 Regal Cinemas in the USA, which is even bigger than Baahubali 2 and Dangal. According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the movie opened to a fabulous start of $1.5 Million (Rs. 9.65 Crores) on its first day, which was a working day in the US.

The movie truly came with a storm, where it is standing tall, just like other Hollywood giants at the USA box office. Despite the mid-week release, the movie gained a super big start.

First Day Box Office Collection in India

Having a huge success in the USA, the movie is now seriously expected to perform superbly at Indian Box Office as well. In India, it received very lukewarm reviews from the critics. But since the previous 2 movies of the actor-director duo were super hits, the expectations from this movie were very high.

And the movie truly lived up to the buzz it created before its release. It smashed records at the USA box office. Due to its before-release publicity, the movie registered an average of 70% advance bookings for its first day in Telugu states. People came in large numbers at the theatres. In morning shows, the movie even witnessed 100% occupancy.

At Chennai box office, the movie made total box office collection of Rs. 24 Lakhs. All over India, the movie is expected to make the total collection of approx. Rs. 13 Crores. We will update you with exact figures as soon as the data will be available.
