October fared well over its second weekend and easily crossed the mark of Rs. 35 crores. The film witnessed an excellent growth over Saturday, due to which it managed to take a big jump. The other two new releases, Nanu Ki Jaanu and Beyond the Clouds ended their first weekend with a low total. Here are the complete details about the performance of the three movies at the box office.
Maintains its Stronghold in the Second Weekend
After ending its first week on a decent note, October maintained its stronghold over the second weekend. Varun Dhawan’s film dropped by a little margin on Friday and witnessed a humongous growth on Saturday. Earlier, it looked like the film would only manage to cross Rs. 7 crores mark but it declared all the predictions wrong. October earned over Rs. 9 crores over its second weekend and remained unaffected by the new as well as the holdover releases. The total box office collection of the film is as follows:
- First Week – Rs. 30.24 crores
- Second Friday – Rs. 1.89 crores
- Second Saturday – Rs. 3.42 crores
- Second Sunday – Rs. 4.10 crores
- Total – Rs. 39.65 crores
On Monday, October would cross the mark of Rs. 40 crores and it is likely to hold decently over the weekdays. Avengers: Infinity Wars is releasing on the next Friday and it would present a stiff competition to all the holdover films at the box office. So, it would be an interesting subject to see how October performs on the next Friday.
Nanu Ki Jaanu & Beyond The Clouds Collects Poorly
Nanu Ki Jaanu witnessed a good growth but it is of no use because of the poor opening of the film. The movie is inching towards a low first week total and would not do any magic on the weekdays.
Beyond The Clouds collected even lesser than Nanu Ki Jaanu and only managed to cross Rs. 1 crores mark. There is no point in film’s comeback and it would end its journey with a poor total at the box office.
