Toilet Ek Prem Katha crosses the 100 crore mark with its 2nd Friday collection at the box office. The film is doing really well and will continue to do so over the next week as well. The only competition it faced today was from Bareilly Ki Barfi which has opened averagely at the box office.
TEPK 2nd Friday Collection came at Rs. 4 crore net. This is a decent total considering the screen count is now significantly less. Most of the Screenspace of Toilet was also given to Annabelle and Bareilly Ki Barfi. While the film Partition: 1947 was a wash out with many theaters going empty. The Total Collection of Toilet till now stands at Rs. 100.5 crores net.
Bareilly Ki Barfi
Bareilly Ki Barfi has started slowly at the box office. Nobody expects such movies to take a big or decent opening. They are clearly dependant on word of mouth or movie reviews. The first-day collection was Rs 2.42 crore and is expected to grow decently over the weekend as the reviews mostly seem to be positive.
A Figure of Rs. 10 crores net can be on the cards for the first weekend if the growth is better than decent. This has already happened with a film called Hindi Medium, which started off slow but due to positive reviews did excellent business at the box office.
