This was a normal week at the box office when 2 small budget movies released. The two movies were Daddy and Poster Boys. Poster Boys received mixed reviews and it was expected that the film would take a decent opening on its first day but it couldn’t. Daddy which is a movie based on a true story couldn’t do anything well on its first day either.
Both movies were facing stiff competition from Baadshaho and Shubh Mangal Savdhaan. Also Lack of Any Good Songs in both the movies affected their performance a little bit.
Poster Boys
Here is the Daily Breakdown for Poster Boys:
- Friday – Rs. 1.75 crores
- Saturday – Rs. 2.40 crores
- Sunday – Rs. 3.10 crores
The film is showing positive trending but the initial wasn’t so strong for the film to put up any decent figures at the box office. Overall, Poster Boys is heading towards Below Average performance at the box office.
Daddy
Daddy is doing a much lower collection that our expectation. The Movie had a very dull opening and even fell behind Poster Boys. Here is the day wise collection for this film:
- Friday – Rs. 1.15 crores
- Saturday – Rs. 1.55 crores
- Sunday – Rs 2.10 crores
The trending is positive for this film too. But if it’s Monday collection are not same as Friday this film has no hope at the box office at all.
